Islamic perspective on Sex
Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sheha

Islam acknowledges the fact that one's sexual desire has to be satisfied. It considers fulfilling this desire a praiseworthy matter, as long as it is done within Shari'ah limits. It is not disdainful to satisfy this desire, nor should it be neglected. Allah (ﷻ) says: (Beautified for men is the love of desired things – women and children, and heaped-up treasures of gold and silver, and pastured horses and cattle and crops. That is the provision of the present life; but Allah has with Him the best return [i.e. Jannah].) (3:14)
